Opera "Maria Theresia" - Compilation (Worldpremiere)
The neo-romantic opera in 3 acts "Maria Theresa" had its world premiere in 2012 at the National Theater in Bratislava. The opera is considered a prime example of the neo-romantic style. In the plot of the opera one can see the life and all the ups and downs of the successful archduchess and her husband, in magnificent and stirring scenes. At the world premiere of the play, about 300 people were employed on and behind the stage, making it one of the largest plays written by Baumgartner.

The opera " Nursultan Nazarbayev" was a commissioned work and is about the exciting life of the first president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev. The special thing about this work is the balancing act between European melodies of the neo romantic style and the Asian melodies and instruments of the "steppe". The national instrument of Kazakhstan, the "Dombra", is deliberately used in many places and mixed with the orchestra to form a homogeneous unit. The music of the work was broadcast live on national television , among other occasions, on the occasion of Nazarbayev's birthday.

In the early 2000 Baumgartner worked with his friend George Foreman on "The George Foreman Story" . The play is about the success as a boxer and the humanistic work in his church and in his hometown. The music is a balancing act between opera and musical and was recorded with the Vienna Boys Choir and Ramon Vargas, among others. For this piece, a new type of entertainment was created, the "New World Theatre".

In the early 2000s, Roland Baumgartner composed the musical Hundertwasser. The musical reflects the fantasy world of Hundertwasser, his art and his fight against the destruction of the environment. In 2004/2005 this musical was filmed in the form of an art film and shown to tourists for years in the Hundertwasser House in Vienna in a specially built multimedia show. In this film you can see well-known personalities, such as Ottfried Fischer, Ernst Fuchs, Gerald Pichowetz and Chris Lohner.
